and now they've all gone

i just finished a crossword puzzle. one of the clues was "Back (of a bus)" and the answer was rear.

which of course reminds me of the time paraic and i drove up to idylwild to stay with melanni and nicholas at his parents cabin. and we played pictionary. and i got the word rear. i kept drawing butts. and nobody got it. so then i drew a bus, with an arrow to the rear of it, and everyone kept guessing "bus, wheel, window, car, bus," etc. so then i drew black people in the back of the bus. and everyone just started laughing and never got it and then couldn't believe i tried to use the back of a bus to describe the word "rear." and melanni and i wore leggings with t-shirts and mine wasn't long enough and we saw wolf puppies and on the way home i was driving fast and paraic said "its better to be late in this life than early to the next" but he didn't even make that up, his dad did.
