i don't know if i'm a morning person or not. i feel that i'm not, but compared to other people i guess i am.

i'm sitting at the front desk, my hair is still wet, my feet are cold, i'm watching a clip on the news of jimmy fallon and glenn close shoving... baby carrots? into their mouth. the first patient got dropped off about 15 minutes ago. this small korean man who is a regular. sometimes he's grumpy. this morning after he signed in he didn't go back to his seat he just stood at the window staring at me. i guess he decided he liked me because after a minute of that he reached into his bag, grabbed two handufls of assorted candy, and handed it to me. now he's watching the news too, and i don't think he understands english. i am eating a jolly rancher for breakfast.

i want to hug him. i hope someone hugs him really hard every day.
